Biking is better than Prozac
I found this forum while trying to find info on an old Ross Mt. Rushmore I rescued from the dumpster.
Now I'm spending too much time reading all the forums.lol I love to ride. First bike was a AMF Roadmaster Jr. (green). It had a metal seat with no padding and solid tires. Must have put a thousand miles on it on those Bronx sidewalks. Live in No. Jersey. Commute to work most days on my Cannondale T2000. |
Lots of good people here. Welcome!

Hello,
"Biking is better than Prozac," you say . . . I think we should all take that statement just about literally. Many times I've been so stressed from work or whatever, and thus experienced insomnia, a bad mood, impatience, etc. Then on a Sunday I'd ride about 35 miles in the bright sun. Upon my return, it's almost like I had great sex or something, as my whole body, mind, and spirit became so relaxed, complete with that hazy, delicious feeling in my temples. Then I'd take a long, luxurious, invigorating nap, waking up refreshed and ready for anything. I believe that cycling can be the answer to relieving all kinds of stress for most people, not to mention keeping a person healthy and strong. David in PA (now in Florida) |
