Hi all!
Just getting back into the sport after a 20+ year hiatus (school, work, kids). Proud owner of a new 2006 Jamis Coda Sport. Riding around town (Chagrin Falls area) on rural and not-so-rural roads. Latest jaunt was a 34-mile round-trip ride from Solon to Sagamore Hills via Cleveland Metroparks and Summit County Hike & Bike Trail. Feel like I'm getting back in the groove ... bike adjusted to my morphology, technique improving.
Have been lurking for a few weeks, but finally took the plunge and registered. Seem like nice folks in here!

Welcome aboard neighbor. I live in Avon, Ohio AND I just bought a new 2006 Jamis Coda Sport 6 weeks ago. I'm retired and 58 y.o. so I got the time to put 750 on it so far. Had to have the BB re-greased to eliminate a few sqeeks and clicks and lube the stem.....but my bike is great and has exceeded all expectations. Hope you enjoy your bike like I do. Got mine from Fairview Cycle. I grew up on the east side of Cleveland but lived out west most of my adult life.

Dohickey,
Glad you've been able to get out and ride. 750 is impressive! I have about 150 on mine so far. I also noticied some clicking in the BB on my last long ride ... thought it was my shoelaces on the cranks at first. Did you re-lube the BB yourself, or have your LBS do it? If LBS, did you have to pay for the service?

My LBS where I bought the bike lubed both sides of the BB for free. First year of adjustments should be FREE. I lubed the stem myself with Pedro lube. You get a FREE tune-up after 30 HOURS of ridings. Make sure you take it in for the necessary adjustments to the cables that stretch out. It wasn't until after my 30 hour tune up that the BB developed a click every complete revolution on the left pedal side down stroke. It was a very faint click but still annoying. Took it in today a 10:00am on my way to the Metro Park bike trails and they relubed it in about 10 minutes. Put 40 miles on the bike today completely free of squeek, clicks, or noises....it was wonderful...hope it stays that way. My 1980 Schwinn never made a single noise in the 26 years I rode it.
