Hello from Rochester NY!
Hi Forum Members and Moderators!
Looks like a great place here so I decided to register and introduce myself. I'm just getting into biking after a 25 year hiatus. Recently purchased a slightly used Specialist bike and have put on a few hundred miles this month. I'm having a blast learning, reading, and riding the local trails. Looking forward to learning lots here and being active in the biking community!

Hello Ken,
I'm just joining though I have been biking in Rochester for the past two years. Are you interested in meeting a cycling partner? I would like to see more of this area on the bicycle and would prefer not to do it alone.
Best wishes and happy riding!

Hi gizmocat,
Would love to meet up sometime! I've also been exploring on my new bike -- Erie Canal Trail mostly, so far -- and I'm still getting my bike legs back so I'm not the fastest rider in town!
I live in Penfield and work in Henrietta (right on the canal). My e-mail address is in my profile so shoot me an e-mail if you are interested in getting together. Thanks!
Ken

Canal Ride
It sounds as if we are about evenly matched as riders. My new bike has been pretty well set up though the new Brooks saddle is on order.
once the weather has cleared up, why not go for a ride?

Sounds good. And looks like there are few other new folks in here also from the Rochester area.
I'm thinking about a new saddle as well but know nothing about them. What made you choose a Brooks saddle?
