hello, new to the bikeforums
Hi
I just brought home my second Road bike, Both of which were purchased second hand.. in an attempt to get into riding for next to nothing. (yeah that is the expensive way, I know)
My goals are to become a good enough rider to use a bicycle as transportation, and may be recreational travel... all in due time. This forum seemed to have a wealth of diverse toppics so I signed up. So far I am limiting my rides to two hours or less, three days a week or so. looking forward to learning about this wounderful, and interesting sport.
Thanks,
J

Nothing wrong with buying used. That will indeed save money. Saved me a couple grand. I'm not a road bike guy, but many here are, so what kind of road bikes do you have?

I bought a aquamarine Centurian last year for a hundred bucks... then found out that I dont quite have the legs for the hills around here, with the gears that it has... Yesterday was a bargin that will cost me, although my limit for spending on the (viscount) is $100, and I have 10 invested in it so far... will need a new front fork, as I am told they are deadly with the original one. then in time may be it will be a bike that goes on the trainer in the winter(the trainer that I dont have yet...)
