Hello everyone!
just about everytime I am looking for some info relating to bikes, google always sends me here so I decided to join. Been in the Navy for 8+ years now and have been biking for about 6 of them. I picked up biking while stationed in beautiful Sicily. just about everyday was a good day for biking. I have done about a quarter of the biking I did in sicily since arriving in Newport (mostly due to weather) but now that I am heading down to VA I plan on going back to my old ways!! I just bought this beauty https://i4.ebayimg.com/05/i/07/c1/06/f6_12.JPG and am looking forward to hitting the pavement with her.

Hi,
I took one look at your handle and pegged you for a swabbie. Have fun with your bike, don't forget your helmet, and welcome aboard, sailor.

www.vabike.org/var.htm Way back I was based south of D.C. and found central VA a beautiful place to ride. The Virginia Bicycling org had files of routes and fun rides listed, try them. The TransAmerica Trail goes coast to coast just south of your port. You will hve a great time when it does not get too humid and hot.
