A new "Bent" fan from Seattle

Hi Folks, I've been riding my old Trek Mtn bike recently and have become reinterested in bike touring. The thing is that I'm tired of suffering from numb wrists, sore butt, etc. etc.. I'm seriously thinking of recombents, specifically trikes. I live near the Hood Canal in Western Washington state and regularly ride between 40 and 70 miles. I'm toying with the idea of taking the ride from the Canadian to the Mexican border on the Pacific Coast route on a recumbent. I've been looking at both the ActionBent tadpole or the WizWheelz Tour bikes. They are both in my price range. Can any of you folks give me input on either recumbent trikes or the Pacific Coast route? I'm greatful to have found BikeForums and look forward to sharing ideas and information. Thanks again for your time. Mikey D, Grapeview, Wa

I'm new too and just recently puchased a used Burley Limbo recumbent bike for $400.00 which was originally $1400. new. I'm also very interested in the trikes but thought I had better first try the bike before commiting to a trike. I've only had it a week now but am pretty sure I'll get a trike by next spring. I suggest you try this site: www.bentriders.com for just about all the bike/trike info you will need. There's also a good review section. Just add /reviews.htm to that address and theres many reviews of all the popular trike models. So far I'm convinced one of the catrike models is what I'll be buying. WWW.catrike.com good luck!
