hi from plano, tx
Hi, we just moved here from St. Louis, MO 3 months ago, and are still trying to know this area. One thing I like about Plano is that I live close enought to commute to work by bike. I have been doing that for that last month or so.

billycwu - WELCOME TO BIKEFORUMS! I'm just down the road from you near the Dallas/Richardson line. There are lots of road cyclists in the area.
If you haven't made a stop at Richardson Bike Mart (corner of Coit and Campbell) do so soon! Great folks and lots of pretty bikes to look at. They also have rides every Saturday morning starting at the store.
There's quite a few DFW BF members, even one of the Mods is a Dallas area resident. Good group of guys who ride together fairly frequently. Send me a PM any time you want info on rides, etc. We also have recently opened a regional forum (Texas = Southwest) with lots of info on upcoming rides, etc.

P.S. - if you don't see many cyclists out and about this weekend, we're all out in Wichita Falls for the biggest ride of the season: Hotter Than Hell Hundred!

I passed on the HHH last year, and made the Cotton Patch Classic my first metric century after getting into road cycling. It's a good ride that's not too far away, in Greenville, Tx. Maybe about an hour and 10mins out of the Plano area. I've started a thread about the ride in the Southwest regional forum.

You Know!? For Kids!
Welcome, I am at Custer/190 and ride with Cuda quite a bit. You need to hook up with us for a ride. Also, Rick Gurney and the guys over at Plano Cycling and Fitness are a great bunch as well. Feel free to PM if you have any questions about the area, etc., as I was born and raised in the Richardson/Plano area

Ridden and worked at northshore, good stuff. read good stuff about rowlett. My favorite dorba ride ever was a trip to a state park on the river in Waco.
