OR Biker Returned to AK

I'm a recently joined up member. Started road biking in earnest in Eugene, OR, with some moderate tours and single speeding around town. I've moved up to Alaska to start clerking for a judge and am looking forward to exploring roads and trails around Anchorage in the little time we have left before the snow falls. I think I might go into bike culture withdrawal up here so I'll be cruising for other bikers to wrench with over the winter and cross country skiing to get my fix.

If there's any AK road bikers out there give me a shout. Thanks! (I'm contemplating getting back into mountain biking, but am likely too timid at this point for anybody to want to deal with, that's what a dislocated shoulder and broken collarbone will do for you.)

Welcome there, Jason.....sounds like a hard place to bike in the Winter. You can come down here to FL in the winter...we don't have any troubles riding in the winter.

Welcome Jason,

Enjoy this great site...we'll try and help you through the winter.
My suggestion: Rollers + TV + Cycling might help take the edge off
