No Car Diet

I went on a permanent "no car diet" when I sold my Toyota in 1983 while living in San Diego. I have relying on bicycle, walking and transit (in that order). This started out as an experiment and changed to a permanent lifestyle. I have two "beater bikes" I found abandoned and nursed back to life. The bicycle is my sole transportation to work. I found while on a "no car diet" I could eat what I please and still stay slim because my transportation is my diet. I used to work for Vision Recumbent Bicycles near Seattle until that company, unfortunately went out of business. America would be a better and healthier place if more people went on a no car and low car diets.
