Classic Cyldesdale Newbie
Greetings All! As the title states, I am a classic cyldesdale newbie. I'm 6'01, weigh 252, and am 42 years old. I haven't been on a bike in over 24 years. As a child and well into my teens, riding bikes was my favorite activity. I'd ride pretty much all day long. It was awesome. Lately, with an overload of stress from work I've been dreaming of the simpler days when life was great. I remembered how carefree I felt riding a bike and now I've decided to get back into something I love. Today I started researching bikes so I can make an informed decision as what might be best for me. I'm leaning more towards a mountain bike due to their strength and ability to handle various types of riding enviornment. The only problem I have is a limited budget (must keep at $900 maximum) and woeful knowledge of bikes, parts, gear, etc. I found this forum and wanted to say hello. I look forward to increasing my knowledge, getting fit, and enjoying every ride I take. Please feel free to send suggestions as to what bikes may be suitable for me considering my weight and budget. Thank you & enjoy your ride!!!!
