Hello to everyone. After lurking around the forums learning more than I thought possible, I figured it's about time to actually register. The biking bug got me 2 years ago when I pulled out my dad's old 10-speed to get around while home over summer break - no car and a busy family didn't leave me many options for getting out and about. I made a lot of short trips over the summer but didn't ride again until the next summer when I broke down and bought a bike of my own, an '04 Trek 1000C. It made the trip with me to college, and I'm loving it. Since then, my girlfriend has also bought a bike (I know, I know, I'm a very lucky guy) and we try to get a ride in whenever we get to see each other. Thanks for all that I've already learned, and I'm looking forward to being part of the community.
And sorry, but no bike pic yet...
Jeff

Welcome Jeff! You're a lucky guy if your gf rides w/ you. Ride behind her. You can draft her and the view can't be beat.
