Hi,

I just joined after doing a Google search for "forums bicycle".
I have recently been uploading my photograph collection to the web, and I just now tested to make sure I can post pictures. (a picture says a thousand words.)

My company is called NFA Vehicles. The Type 9 was designed by my Daughter Mellisa. Her is a shot from another angle:

After being painted pink for a while, it went back to green, but a diferent shade of green:

This bike floats. It is quarter inch thick fiberglass so it is strong, and the Kenworth spoiler inspired front end can put a big dent in someones car. (or their car budget, figure about $5000.00 at the local collision shop)

I like it. But I think it needs something, like perhaps Triceratops horns? I think that would really put dents in things!

Is it supposed to float, or is that just from the fibreglass?

Anyway, welcome to BF!

Triceratops horns? Hmm...
Maybe I should wear a Viking helmet with horns on it.

The designer Mellisa Manning intended the bike to float. She was living in Florida at the time, and in Florida there are a lot of ditches along roadsides, which fill up with water. So the Type 9 is supposed to float if it ever gets run off the road.

What's the purpose in the spoiler? Is it like a fairing?

BTW: Welcome to BF.

I see from your profile that your interests include photography, and you have a lowrider BMX bike...there's a art thread going in the BMX forum:

The spoiler performs the same funtions as a fairing.

I am kicking myself now because Schwinn has named one of their bikes the "Spoiler".

HTML Code:
https://www.schwinnstingray.com/bike-spoiler.html
I didn't copyright or trademark the term. Mellisa wanted to called the bike "Mini-Kenworth" , but I thought I would get sued by the Truckmaker.

What is a Fairing dot com;

HTML Code:
https://www.whatisafairing.com/
We made the fairing/spoiler come as far forward as the front wheel for crash protection.

The feature that this fairing has that other fairings don't is the ability to carry a load inside. It is sized perfectly to fit a twelve pack.

I'd been wondering if there was a significance to the size .

I see the answer is, yes.
