Introducing myself

Hello all,

My lovely stoker/wife already posted, and as with everything having lots of fun with this forum. As she (Red Rider) said, we are new to a tandem with her not so new to cycling. I have flown hang gliders for 31 years and have always looked for something we could do together since she does not have the flying gene. We tried many different things, even cycling once before but nothing took for long. About 18 months ago she started riding with another woman and that was it for her. We now have a tandem and she is training me to ride centuries. I am having fun on the bike but I don't believe it will ever completely take over from the flying thing. I will keep riding though because it is something we can enjoy together as a team and with other friends of a like mind. I look forward to seeing some of you on the road. We are entered in the Tour de Palm Springs and the Solvang Century so far.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Cool graphics! Thanks for the hearty welcome!

C has already posted on the tandem forums -- so have I, for that matter. We kind of did things backward. Guess we're just a pair of contrarians.
