Hellothere..... I'm a middle-aged bicycle "enthusiast" from Trondheim, Norway. I both ride and collect bicycles. My collection spans from the early 1890's to the classic norwegian built "muscle bikes" of the 1970's (Apaches and Tomahawks). I also collect information about norwegian bicycle history and about the many norwegian bicycle brands (600++ different brands registered so far). Anyone got a DBS or a Ogland built bicycle made between 1930 and 1990? I can determine exact year of manufacture from the framenumbers! Other interests (aside from road/offroad bicycling): toy car collecting, music, pop-culture, internetculture, ebaying, ++++++++.

Hello torquewrench,
You have all manner of interests, don't you?
You must visit us in the Classic & Vintage forum, with that wealth of knowledge about Norwegian bikes, and I bet the Foosters can help you with everything else:

Yes I suppose I do have a lot of interests! The trouble is I never leave an interest behind as i get another. They all add up! Very cumulative (and expensive). I suppose a broad (but detailed) knowledge of norwegian bicycle history is of rather miniscule interest to the vast majority of the forum members.
I remember reading a thread about The DBS Butterfly from a US member asking about framenumbers some time ago, but having become a member myself, I of course now just can't find it....
Regards:
Roar S.

Hej pa (with little o over a) dej Torquewrench! Sorry I used the swedish spelling method, don't take offense, it is just my background (parents from Vastergotland and Varmland in Sweden). Welcome aboard the Forum! I do not have much knowledge of Norwegian bikes at all, just saw a lot of them when I have been over there (twice to Norway, once to Trondheim). I do have some Crescent bikes of the swedish type, but they were imported to the USA, and I don't know of any norwegian bikes that were,,,Hope you have fun here in the Bike Forums!! evw
