Tucson-Grand Canyon-Albuquerque

Hello, I'm Arie, a retired sportsteacher (62) from the Netherlands. I'm a fanatic bike rider, like 400-800 miles tours to enjoy scenery, culture and history.
Up till now France, Italy, Belgum, Germany and Holland, the latter famous for its flatness.

Visiting some cousins in the Ariona and New Mexico area in April it's a great opportunity to link the two towns by bike.
Probably partly by Greyhound (Tucson-Flagstaff) to spend much time to and around Grand Canyon, Chelley, Chaco and Acoma Pueblo.

I like to have some advice about this tour.
How is the Greyhound service (or other bus lines?). Bikes can be transported I understand.
And when it takes more time than I schedule, is there a good connection from Farmington or Cuba to ABQ.
Is it worth while to visit Mesa Verde and then the public transport to ABQ because I'm afraid I run ot of time.
I have 2,5 - 3 weeks net for this bike-trip (+5 days in Tucson and 5 days in ABQ).
What about camping-sites? Or better: cheap lodging because I do'n want to take much luggage.

I like to see the scenery very much but I'm afraid of mass-tourism as arriving in a queue of cars at Grand Canyon. Any additional ideas? I should be grateful.

On the other hand: if there are questions about biking in Europe I like to share my experience.
Of course the Netherlands. Boring(?) flat but much culture and townd are not very scattered.

Kind regards,

Arie

Arizona

I'm Arie and will visit Arizona in April.
Live in the eastern Netherlands (short period Belgium). Retired as a sportsteacher. But not tired of sports.
So biking and/= traveling.

I ride a Giant Expedition and am in love with Cannondale.
Maybe I buy one in Tucson.

Enjoying the physical challenge, the scenery, culture and history, that's why I bike. And meeting people and changing ideas.

I made trips in Italy (Tuscany, Umbria), Belgium, France (Loire) and England (Kent).
After Tucson-Grand Canyon-Monument Valley, Chelley, Chaco, Acoma Pueblo-Albuquerque y next tour will be Netherlands - Venice or Barcelona.
Maybe next september.
But first things first: my first tp in the USA.

I wonder if this text goes to the introduction section Did I do something wrong?
