Hi TenCent
Welcome to BF. What part of NS are you from? I was in Halifax for 20-odd years. I used a mountain bike for my 9km commutes because I found the roads too rough for a roadie. And the sewer grates ran parallel to the road! I could never figure that out.
I'm in Ottawa now enjoying all the bike paths.
Cheers

welcome to bf!
brings back found memories when i solo-toured (self/contained) all of NS in 1985. from yarmouth on east coast to Halifax (saw "men w/out hats" 80's band there, disconnected the microphone while they were singing 'safety dance' (i regress!). then went inland to the Bay of Fundy up clock-wise around Cape Breton. on the way down from cape breton, i wiped out on road shoulder (headed to Alexander Grahm Bell's house) and got a ride to Sydney to get to a bike shop (needed to re-build rear wheel, was wasted).
Went back inland to the bay of fundy, to yarmouth. this was a figure-8 design. i would love to ride this again, but realize you can't go back, life's only forward ....
welcome again (thanks for the key for recall), and fire that bike up (use it)!

Welcome TenCent. You'll find this to be an interesting place.
Oddly enough, I was just wondering about what living in Nova Scotia might be like. My grandparents came from there, many decades ago.
Canada has something we can't get here in the U.S., at least not at an ordinary grocery store. That would be Fudgee-Os!

Tomg - Thats great, I imagine that would be a great trip.
Trackhub - I love living here, I'm only young but I still love it. And yeah, there's no shortage of Fudgee-O's.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
