Hi From the Other Vancouver...
...Washington that is. For those of you who are not familiar with Pacific Northwest, Vancouver is just across the Columbia River from our neighbor Portland, Oregon.
I am returning to cycling after a very long absence, 35 yrs. In my early 20's I did quite alot of self supported touring, but other priorities got in the way of cycling. A familiar story to a lot of you I'm sure. I'm amazed at the changes! The technology has advanced so far from when I was riding, for all intents and purposes I'm starting over(not a bad thing!). The resources that are available are equally as incredible, Bike Forums being one of them.
Anyway, I'm pleased to be back, and even more pleased that my wife has taken an interest and is riding with me. We are looking forward to many biking adventures in the future!

Welcome, and welcome back. You only have to remember three things on this forum
Enjoy the crowd.
- NYC Riders want to kick your @ss
- Listen to Coffee Brown...she knows everything
- Bikes become irrelevant if pie is mentioned in a string
Enjoy the crowd.

Welcome to BF.
When we lived in Olympia (many, many years ago), my folks (and I) drove through Vancouver many times on our way to visit friends in Portland, so I know exactly where it is.
Coffee (spelled Koffee) is no longer with us. R.I.P.

Welcome, I live a little further South but work in Portland. I pass through the Couve quite often visiting friends.
