returning to riding in LA
Hi,
My name is James. I used to do 25 and 50 mile rides/races before I was old enough to drive and get into motorcycle racing. Now I'm 28 and returning to bicycling, having burnt out on motor vehicles and the general lack of fitness in my life.
Right now I'm riding an old Diamondback mountainbike that was rotting in a friends garage while my friend helps me put together a proper street bike on the cheap.
I'm mainly just looking to commute, but when I was a teenager the one ride I never did but always wanted to was the Solvang Century, so I'm hoping by next year to be ready to tackle that.
Anyway, thanks for putting up the forum. I'm going to go read over some of the other areas now =)

Hello James,
There must be a run on Diamondback mountain bikes today--you are the third person who's talked about their Diamondback...
Take a look around, you never know what you'll find that will interest you. But we have a lot of serious knowledge to share, and a lot of fun things going on as well .
Welcome to BF!
