new newbie

Hi, all. I am new to this forum and to biking, except the Huffy I had as a kid. :) I am looking into buying a bike and starting to ride for fitness and leisure reasons. My intention is get a bike I can use to commute to work with and also take on rides with my better half.

What's your budget? Type of riding (other than commuting--how far?)?

Ask around on the Commuting forum. Many folks use the same bike for commuting and weekend rides.
