Greetings from Highlands Ranch, Colorado
Hello everyone!
Last June I purchased a mountain bike (TREK 4500) to help me drop some weight and to take in the many wonderful trails here in the Denver area (I lost 55 lbs in 4 months). Then I came across the TDF on OLN last July and fell in love with road biking. Shortly after the TDF I found this outstanding forum and have been visiting almost daily since. I owned a Raleigh Technium for 15 years until the chainstay broke. I didn't have the money to purchase my dream bike so I ended up getting a wonderful deal on a Lemond Nevada City. I wanted to go steel after reading the many posts in this forum on this frame material. I'm so excited about being a member of this wonderful bike forum family. :) Thanks, Dan |
Hi from Parker, CO.
Highlands Ranch has quite a bike club, as I understand!! |
Hi DnvrFox
I did not know that Highlands Ranch had a bike club. Would you happen to know the name of this club? I always ride solo, but found it so fun to ride with people after doing the Elephant Rock Ride this past Sunday. |
I did a Google search on
highlands ranch colorado bicycle club web page And found this link http://www.highlandsranchcycling.com/news.htm Hope it works for you |
Welcome Revenig!
I am a new member to this forum also and love it. :) |
Thanks for the link, DnvrFox. I should have thought of doing a search on Google myself. I will definitely contact them.
BettWalker, I appreciate the welcome. This forum has enhanced my biking experience and hopefully it will do the same for you. |

What I liked about them is that they seemed to have a lot of just average everyday bikers instead of folks heavily into matching jerseys, etc. And, they seemed to be having fun!! :D Perhaps some day we could meet and have a ride together? Come out - drive or bike - to E470 (you can head out on the C470 Trail) and the Cherry Creek Trail and bike the CC Trail with me. Can do up to 30 miles with only 3 road crossings. |
