Newbie in Groton, CT!
Greetings! I live in Groton, Connecticut, USA. I just got an Optima Lynx recumbent bike yesterday. It rides great! I plan to use it for the commute (1.6 miles each way), and it's my birthday present to myself (31)
I am pretty much a beginner. I haven't ridden very much for the last ten years because of my back and shoulder pains. I bought the recumbent so that I can get back to riding without aggrevating the pains.
I am still trying to figure out what all I should have in terms of tools, repair kits, apparel, and stuff. I've been getting good suggestions from my cousin and her husband (They are cyclists in Chicago. Her husband was the one that introduced me to this forum!). But if you have any suggestions, please let me know!
I am also eager to explore the sights around the area. I just moved here last winter, and will be moving again in a few years.
Look forward to hearing from you!

There was a very active bent club in CT named Recumbent Yankee Pedalers, you can still send a e-mail to the club members at ryp@onelist.com. In the last two years the club has been quiet. A few rides, and a few e-mails. But I know many of the members still read the e-mails. So you may find some one in Groton by sending them an e-mail.
If you ever find yourself in the Enfield area let
