This is my second post here, so I thought I'd introduce myself.
As you can probably guess from my user name, I ride a 1985 Bridgestone MB-1.
It's a great bike that has seen it share of abuse but just keeps on going.
The weather is turning here so I'm anxious to get out and do some riding.

When I first came on to the fourum, I didn't know whether I should hit the over 50+ bunch, the Clysdayles, the Vintage Bikes or the Mountain bike forum. I probabably fit them all.

I found your great site since I am updating my memory banks on what bike I have and getting distracted by what has come along since mine came out.

I originally bought the bike to get about locally but also to hit the mountains here in Washington state.
There are tons of closed off (no longer maintained) old logging roads here. I makes for a perfect place to run the dogs since there is no traffic.

My bike is all torn down at the moment, waiting on a couple of parts. I cleaned it up yesterday and today and it's looking a lot better after sitting out for the winter. I'll be lubing, making adjustments putting a new chain, new cables and a new seat post on it. I went for a seat post with a shock in it to see if might be a little easier on my antique backside.

I bought the wife a Women's Schwin Sidewinder and put a rack and front quick dismount fender on it.
Hopefully we can get out and do some crusin' again. Why heck, if the going gets too rough, I can hook up the dogs and let them assist, they are wolf/ malamute, so they love to pull. I go skijouring with them and they love it. We don't have that down pat yet, they tend to tend to get excited and go off trail from time to time.

So, that's about it from the Pacific Northwest, the Bridgestone should be comming back together within the next week. We'll start out easy and work up to some nice long logging road runs. I can't wait. We sure do live in some beautiful country here along the Columbia River and the Cascade Range.

Hi East Hill,

Live in Carson, WA near Stevenson. SE of Mt. Saint Helens. Lots of trecks here along the Wind River Highway.
I'll definately drop in there but have to get my pics together and post them another day.

Have you gone up any of the logging roads to the backside of Mt. Saint Helens? From what I remember, those would be some excellent riding for a cross or mountain bike.

I'll be looking for those pictures!
