Hey all,
Just wanted to stop in and say hi.
I hadn't ridden a bike in the past 8 years or so, but recently i thought i'd get a bike to get around Boston faster, exercise more, save on gas, etc, etc. I bought a trek 7100, and now i'm totally addicted. Learning to ride again was a heck of a lot easier then i expected, though i'm still pretty wobbly at low speeds. Haven't wiped out yet though... but thats just a matter of time, i think
I didn't get to ride today... it was too rainy after i got out of class
Well, theres always tomorrow!

Welcome to the Bike Forums, JordanG! Biking is an amazing addicting sport. I find myself looking for longer and longer routes on how to get from home to work and back again.

Hello JordanG, the odd thing about bicycles is that one is more wobbly the slower the speed. The solution is to simply ride faster . Where are you located, and what are you riding?

I'm in Boston, MA (so mostly when i have to ride slow its to avoid idiots on foot who don't bother to pay any attention to whats going on around them, no matter how much i ding my little bell. I'm totally getting an air horn.) I'm riding a trek 7100.

Hello from another Bostonian. I've been commuting here year-round (minus nor'easters) for the past 7 years. You have chosen the best, most intelligent way to get around Boston. I usually hang out in the Commuting forum. Hope to see you on the roads.

My commute is Newton- Downtown Boston, which I either do by riding along the Charles on the bike path or down Commonwealth Avenue.
newbojeff is absolutely right- it is without a doubt the most intelligent way to get around Boston. And if you can ride here (with the potholed streets, the wild winter weather and the aggressive drivers) you can ride anywhere.
You'll also find me in the commuting forum or in the road bike forum. I spend a good portion of my summers riding the hills of western Mass.
