been riding bike since for ever, and i finally saved up enough to buy an entry level bike. I purcased a Lemond Etape 07' and think its a pretty sweet ride. if anybody can help me by telling me whats the best lock to buy for protection in chicago thanks

Welcome to BF. Care to share where those chicks hang out. Try the OnGuard Pitbull DT (U bolt and cable combination). Mostly available at your LBS. Enjoy the bike and safe riding to you.
