New in Merrimack Valley, MA
Hi....I trained and ran my 1st marathon which happened to be The Boston this year. During the process I developed a bad case of plantar fascittis (sp?). I knew that riding was good for it and just got back into riding for fitness. Last week we had a shed fire which was a total loss including 4 bikes. I didn't want to buy two bikes and I wasn't sure what to buy so I researched and rode several of the new hybrids. Yesterday I bought a Specialized Sirrus from our lbs here in Andover and love it. I've been on it for two long rides and enjoy both its speed and comfort. Once I get into decent riding shape I hope to join others in the Merrimack Valley or S. NH. Sorry for the long windedness. I'm enjoying the forum.

Hello Doug, you aren't longwinded at all 
. Do look into the Northeast regional forum for other members in your area. The Sirrus is a nice bike, and you should get quite a bit of good use out of it.
