New Rider from Michigan
Hey everyone. My name is Kelsey and I am 19 years old. I just bought a hybrid bike from Target and so far I love it. I was looking into road bikes but they were all so expensive and I wanted a bike to take camping with my family so I figured a hybrid would be the good choice. I bike around my neighborhood and today I biked 13.2 miles in 1 hour and 5 minutes. I was going to do a duathlon in October but my knee will not let me run for more than a mile so I decided to devote more time to cycling. I'm not really into competition and I just want to do this for me. I want to participate in fun races but I haven't found any around where I live yet.

I'm glad I found this forum. I was under coolrunning.com but now that I wanna get more into biking this forum seems great!!
