Greetings from Clawson, Michigan (Suburb of Detroit). My name is Paul and I just started getting interested in cycling last summer. I have turned into a biking junkie. I ride every chance I get. I have spent a lot of time searching the internet for information and it looks like this forum is one of the best sources i have come across.

I am 45 years old and currently ride a GT Timberline MTB. I plan on getting a Trek hybrid when the prices drop this year. I have no intentions of racing or even trying to keep up with the road riders. I use cycling as a means to get excercise and forget all of the things that bring tension into my life. I look forward to getting to know all of you better and work toward improving my riding trechnique.

IMHO, you've got to get a road bike. You will never be fully happy with a hybrid.

I'll smile when I pass you.

Welcome. Glad you like biking.
