Hi-
I am planning a solo bike trip across the US (something I've been dreaming for years). The most touring I have done is bicycling from Pittsburgh to DC with a group of friends, so I am a bit nervous and trying to reassure those loved ones who think I'm a bit nuts.
I have the basic route planned, but none of the specifics. I am planning on leaving the DC area on May 1st and feel like I still have a ton to figure out (like gear and life). I came across Bike Forums while asking the universe some questions and feel like this is a great resource. Thanks for being here!
