Greetings from The Big Smoke (aka Toronto)
My name is Stuart.
I'm 18.
I'm a bikeaholic
I only really got back into bikes (after having not ridden one for over a year) when a cousin and i decided it would be fun to ride to halifax from toronto... so i bought a new bike, and am currently in the process of getting together all my gear.
Currently i have 2 1/2 bikes, '06 Giant OCR touring bike; a '05 Norco Storm (with a Deore(sp?) disk up front, and upgraded carbon bars and a semi-taco-ed back wheel); and an old Norco steel road frame i found in a friends basement (like 20 years old and ridden like twice) which i am converting to fixed gears, which is a lots of fun. so currently it is being stripped down before i give it a nice British racing green paint job (im going for all mat black and Racing green)
other things i do include; work at MEC (yea prodeals); break speedlimits on my speedboard (i gave 2 roadies (well not so much roadies, as ****s) a 20 second head start on a ~2km run, and smoked them through the 3-4th corner ) and Longboard
Well thats kinda me summed up... or is it?
Stuart

Hey there Stuart, welcome to the Bikeforums - I usually hang out in the Commuting forum.
I ride just about everywhere I need to go on my travels in the Toronto area and occasionally beyond and ride into work and back each day, etc.
Riding from Toronto to Halifax eh? Sheesh, nice Got a route mapped out yet? I'd love to have lesser responsibilities to be able to do that Good for you, that's awesome.
Check out the Eastern Canada forum for more local threads here and there, too - though traffic is slower there - what are your main bike interests? Recreational/commuter/utility or a mix? I hang out in the commuter forum as I'm probably more a commuter/utility rider more than I am a recreational right now. I'm the kind of guy who'll ride his bike in order to go to a bike ride and ride his bike There's all kinds of selection here depending on what kind of riding you enjoy, so you'll find a welcome home
If there's anything I can help with, shoot me a note!

Hello Stuart, just to let you know that you will be expected to show us photos of the Norco when you're done with it. Come on over to Classic & Vintage when you finish the painting.

I think you have the dream biker job there. You going to let us know when things go on special? I waited for almost two years for them to mark down a winter jacket I had my eye on, but it never happened, so I bought at the bike show instead. But I did pick up a Castelli shirt for next to nothing a couple of years ago.
Welcome

Welcome Stuart!!!
There's few speedboarders here as well in Toronto.
Loads of folks on the Toronto Fixed Gear/SS thread.

Trip to Halifax, eh?
Have a great friend from another forum who came to Toronto a couple years ago and I met him and another friend (lives in Toronto) - we had a great time. Had plans to go to Halifax and ride but it never came about. Have fun - looks like some good riding.
