Newbie Introduction - Jax / St. Aug, FL

New guy here. Doing some research and found your site. Currently only have a Diamond Back mountain bike but am thinking hard about getting back on to a road bike. Had one about 10-12 years ago, took a bad spill and am building my nerve. . .

Considering a few and there is a ton of info here. I'm familiar with the search function and it has helped me narrow my choices (so far) to:

Schwinn Fastback or Fastback Comp
Specialized Allez or Allez Elite
Giant OCR1 / 2 / 3
Scattante R-560
Jamis Ventura (Race or Comp)
Scott Speedster s40
Trek 1000/1500

Looking forward to reading and continuing this journey.

Hello seminole13, it's nice to know how to use that search function, and don't forget the stickies at the tops of the forums, too.

You've got a good selection of bikes there--have you actually tried riding any of them? My personal experience was that the Treks did not fit me as well as the Specialized, so you may want to check them out personally for fit before deciding.

Welcome to BF!
