hey everyone

well after lurking here for awhile i decided it was time to join..........lets see........always had some sort of a bike when i was young........after about 6 months of driving i lost my license and was car free for 13 months.....lol...........one day many yrs later a friend of mine and i saw something on tv about offroad mtb and sure enuff there were some trails within 30 mins of us so we went.........as soon as we got home we ordered some cheap full suspension bikes from a catalog i got at the time (we thought $300 was expensive) after a few months i upgraded to a royce union aluminim y frame full susp. i found at sears and it was a new world......after about 2 solid yrs of travelling around central fla every sat my truck broke down and we didnt have any way to get to the trails.......not long after he moved to cali and that was that......now its 10 yrs later and i really want to get back into bikes..........i have a collection of different bikes i find at goodwill but i dont ride much ........as far as motor vehicles go im prety much a truck person and i thought it would be nice to have a so called work truck in the bicycle world..........sure enuff my neighbor had an old trike in his front yard for 2 days...........on the third day i saw it across the street abandoned and practically destroyed...........well i love fixin stuff esp when its free................so i bent everything back in place......welded the seat back on........welded the rear axle setup to the frame.........added supports to the back for a larger basket and fabricated a canopy out of an old standing mirror frame and an old nylon flag.............my latest addition was a bottle generator light i got from the outlet section of goodwill............so the whole project cost me about $10 for everything

i just took a load of recycling stuff to the brush dump and im hooked.........granted its only about a mile away but i enjoyed every crank..........so when i got home i joined up.................hmmmm i guess im a cycling recycling guy............figured if im gunna help by recycling i should drop it off using a bike

i originally made the bike with groceries in mind but i recently got back into recycling and it worked out better than i could have planned

Well, if you visit Alt Bikes (and talk to Lem), you'll find out pretty quickly.

thx............its a joannou.......made in italy.....looks old but all the moving parts still work great......when its high noon the only part of me that gets sun is my knuckles.............i havent riddin it in the rain but id probly get very wet cept for my head

i cant seem to get myself out there for a joyride and i work at home so the trike is my main bike right now...........i have others, unfortunaly i dont ride them.........hopefully that will change once it cools down some

everything is really close to me so most of my trips will be about a mile..........but thats a mile of fun i wouldnt have in my truck.......and neither one has a/c so i get more breeze on the trike.........for some reason when im on a bicycle on my own i never feel like im goin fast enuff but on the trike i just mosey my way along
