Hello and a Question about Voyageur

HelloEveryone...this is my first post though I've read a dozen or so already and have found this site very helpful

I own a 2004 Schwinn Rocket. I also own a 1978 LeTour III that has been converted to single speed. I love this bike so much that I want to buy some more classic Schwinn touring/racing style frames and customize them. I already have a black Super Sport lined up and I'm thinking of buying a Schwinn Voyageur for $145

I was hoping someone could tell me more about the Voyageur. This one weighs 25lbs. I am wondering what material the frame is made out of.

Here's the link to the Voyageur...anyone know the era or the word on this bike? I've got it pegged as mid 90s

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Can't see your photo...but the Super Sport sounds nice. Check out the Classic & Vintage forum for more info on the Schwinns.

Welcome to BF!
