Heya from Maynard, MA
Back on the bike after a 17 year layoff...OOF! Very hard starting over at 46 years old, but I've got the bug again and have been at it about 3 weeks now. I'm feeling good about adding more hours/miles each week and slowly bringing my old war horse up to snuff through component upgrades and maintenance.

Hello rusto--we would LOVE to see photos of your Bianchi at the Classic & Vintage forum, please :D .
How many miles have you got on the bike since your return? Welcome to BF! East Hill |

Hmm. The link does not appear to be working for me at the moment...
I'll check back later! East Hill |
Welcome back to cycling. I started riding again in the fall of '05. I hadn't riden since my teens. I'm 47 now. I live in Millis, MA.

The rust comes off pretty fast. I took about a 20 year layoff and returned to cycling a couple of years ago. Am now riding ~500 miles a month and riding faster than I did in my 20's. The new technology in bicycles is pretty amazing, but it's still the rider turning the cranks. This weekend I'm planning my first century since 1987.

The link is now working! It's beautiful...
