I haven't managed to swing bringing a bike back with me when I travel, but I do dream about doing so someday.

Uy! Kamusta.
I grew up in Quezon City, went to school in Mandaluyong, but finished high school in Wisconsin. There several Filipinos on the forums, but I think most of them are State-side. You should read this thread, it's funny and at one point the Flips took over.
How is it riding an Orca in Bulacan? Do you have good routes? Good roads? What milage do you normally get? How's the racing scene?

Magandang umaga, hapon, at gabi! Tuloy po kayo sa aming lugar.
I grew up in Manila but my parents are Ilocano. I went to school there in Paco Catholic school but I finished in Santa Clara high in California. Its been a while since I've been back but I still remember my first bike from there. Some single speed steel comfort bike of some sort. I still have the bruises too.
I've heard that cycling have really grown over there. Hope to hear more from you and pics of your bikes, routes, and filipina friends are most welcome. On bikes of course.

I was adopted from Manila, but grew up here in the US from age 2 on. Welcome to the board. It's nice to meet other Phlips even it is just over the internet. Here in my neck of the woods there aren't too many. Like none.

Hello rrcruz, what kind of an engineer are you? Are you commuting on your Orca, or is it strictly for speed?

Hi...
Used to live in Pasay City in the Aquino years. There as a reporter. Had the time of my life! Haven't been back since 89, but I still think about it almost every day. Biking there would be great! Though I recall the roads as being a little unreliable (and the cops... the one time I rented a car I was stopped for a little lagay at the second light).
