New member from Winnipeg saying Hi
Hi All; I live north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and it took me forever to figure out I could drive to the city's north end and then commute to work on my bike. Duh!!! Been doing it for 2 summers now and loving it. Started with my old 10 speed Raleigh, restored it, then got brave and gradually stripped it down to a fixed gear. Now its fantastic... smooth, quiet, reliable, great exercise ( and practicing track stands gives me a challenge and something to do). Built a second fixie from a Norco I picked up at a pawn shop (its a work in progress). Will probably scale down this year's commute season soon so my son and I can car pool to his university classes and my job.

All I have at this point are a couplr of fuzzy cell phone pics of the bike that I sent into fixedgeargallery. They are here.... http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2007...d_graysons.htm

It looks like a very practical machine (the pannier is ingenious), and I bet it'd look sharp if the photos weren't quite so fuzzy :D .
