Gee, where to start. Well, I found this site while searching the internet for pictures, blogs, etc. about old Motobecanes. I have a grand jubilee that I bought when I was still in high school a few years ago, (33 to be exact) and have been looking for a site where folks appreciate the old lugged wonders as much as I do. It looks like I found the right place.

Hello yugdlo, yes, there is a thriving Classic & Vintage forum here, and we will be happy to listen to, gaze at, and chit chat with you about lugs, lugs, lugs.

However, beware of East Hill. She does not allow newcomers into C & V without photos, and will make your life miserable if you forget .

Welcome to BF!

pictures are coming. Have to shrink them to fit. The bad thing about these wonderful forums is; as much time as you'd like to spend on them, lifes daily responsibilities gets in the way

Welcome neighbor!

I live in Montgomery County but do a few club rides that go into Preble Co. It's usually in the Farmersville, Lewisburg or Verona area.

OK, so here they are as promised. I bought this bike when I was a junior in High school 33 years ago. She has her share of nicks and scrapes, but mechanically, I could not be happier with it. Not too much original componants left on her. Most of them replaced as an upgrade, repair, or asthetics. I'm wrestling with the idea of repainting her, but can't decide if I should stick with the original color scheme, go with another color offered by Motobecane for that year, go completely different. Then there is the delimma of to add braze on bottle, and cable bosses or keep it original. Decisions, decisions.

Well, if you repaint, you could add bottle and cable bosses since the paint would no longer be original. Your bike looks pretty clean though!
