Hello from downtown L.A.
I just bought a Univega Gran Turismo today. I don't know what year it is...
I'm very excited to fix it up. I'm fairly new to cycling... sort of randomly had an urge to buy a bike like 2 years ago (after not having ridden since I was a kid and I'm 39 now). Anyway, I excitedly ran out and bought a used bike without doing any research and soon discovered that it was too big for me. But, I borrowed a friend's smaller bike, started training for ALC6, managed to complete 50 miles a day on the actual ride (on a loaner from Cannondale, which was awesome) and here I am now looking at my "new" used Univega that is actually the proper size frame for me. I love it already... Here is the actual bike as it was posted on craigslist earlier today before I adopted her :) http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/bik/522704821.html |
You must hasten to the Classic & Vintage forum to show this off! We've got a Univega thread going right now, too :) .
Oh yeah, check out the thriving SoCal regional forum and say hi to them as well. Always a lot going on over there. Welcome to BF! Don't forget photos for the C & V forum! East Hill |
Welcome aboard. There are lots of us from SoCal so be sure to check out that forum. Good luck with the new/used bike!
