Another Beginner!
I'm new to these forums.
I live in New Zealand.
I rode a (loaned) single speed road bike for about a couple of months, almost twenty years ago!
Now I have a 24 speed mountain bike with road tires which I am in the process of learning to ride!
I've already made a few posts, and, in general, the feedback has been good. Thanks!

Hi meeshu, I contributed to your thread about learning how to ride 
. I know you're starting to get the hang of it, too.
Although I've never visited NZ, I have relatives in Napier. Naturally, this means I shall be making a visit one day, especially as it looks as if the mountain biking is too good to be missed

I've visited Napier once many years ago. It was so long ago (I was quite young; about 8 years old) I remember very little of the trip. But I believe Napier is quite a nice place.
Road cycling, mountain biking, and recreational cycling are fairly popular here. So there are plenty of competitions. And there are a fair number of dealers/stores available.
