Hello from Tacoma

Hi, I'm Scott, and I'm bent...

I got back into riding last summer mid' July after about 10-15 years of sitting on my arse to much. Piled 2200 miles on over the last 5.5 months with most of that on my 1985 Ciocc road bike. I'm now riding a Rans Tailwind through the winter that I've been spending way to much time and money on, including just building my first wheel after a rim failure.

I'm a member also over at bentrideronline and have started logging miles this year on bikejournal with a goal of 4000+ for the new year.

I'm interested in getting a recumbent trike, my favorite test ride so far has been a HP Velotechnik Scorpion FX, having ridden some Greenspeeds, Challenge Trike, Suns trikes, and a couple others. The Scorpion just felt perfect right from the first pedal stroke. Just need the money and for Anglelake Cyclery to get them back in stock. I'd love to find some local Catrikes to test ride or even the Trice QNT.

Get bent! And keep the rubber down and the fleshy side up.

Hi Scott! Angle Lake's a nice shop, I love seeing all the older bikes getting repaired! Come on over and say hi to us in the Pacific Northwest regional forum. Where do you normally ride?

Welcome to BF!

Welcome to the forum.

I live in Wilkes-Barre PA now, but I graduated from Stadium High in 1975. During my high school years, I rode around the area a lot... Mostly north end. NE Tacoma, Stadium area and Point Defiance.

I also had a long lapse in cycling, and am enjoying the renewal of my passion!
