Bike in Baltimore

New to this forum. Cycling for about ten years. 07 was the first year where I dedicated more time to it, doing some light self contained touring in France with my son, and Adventure Cycling tour out in Montana in July, Bike Virginia, and local riding of course. Plan on doing a self contained ride from Montreal to Baltimore in early June. Doing a camp out in Death Valley week after next. I am becoming a bike advocate. Tired of being pissed and outraged at the hostility towards cyclists and the generally unyielding attitude of "most" motorists. They see us as bike nuts not as the leading edge of an environmental movement. So, if you're a cyclist and you just do it for recreation that's great, cycle to the club ride start rather than drive. On the way back call the wife (or husband) and ask if they need anything at the store. Leave the car or truck or suv in the driveway.
It's time for the U.S. to wake up and smell the exhaust fumes, kick our silly and destructive infatuation with and dependence on the internal combustion engine, no matter what pretty advertising slogan it is currently packaged in.

Hello Harry, it sounds as if you have some definite ideas there! A lot of forums where you can have some good discussions, so take a look around, and enjoy!

Take photos of your trip to Death Valley, and come back and post them, please?

Welcome to BF!
