I starting riding a rode bike a year ago. I needed to find something that would not hurt my back and I could get some excercise. Then my son, 6, at the time wanted to join me in the MS Tram. Now we are working towards our second ride, this time as entire family.

I am very much a newbie to this world. I claim ignorance for everything, except for how to pedal and stay balanced. This has become my escape from the real world.

Spring is coming! Really

Do you do the other MS rides? teh 30/60 and 150? I do both but have not done a Tram yet

I have a hand me down from my husband that was his mom's law and before that it was her sister's. I like recycling. It's a peuguot. My mother in law is an avid biker, which is how I really got into this and now I am stuck

I think I started riding also because it was the realization that I had just turned 30 and not very active anymore. I was being selfish and wanted to accomplish something that I thought I could never do and prove myself wrong. Then my son decided he wanted to join me. So here we are a year later still riding. I have had to slow down my speed for my son but it has been a fun experience.

I have not ridden in other rides. I have only done the Tram. I hear that the other rides are a lot of fun as well. I was hoping to do a couple of one day rides but my schedule has not allowed for such things. I am hoping this year I would be able to attempt a couple. Hopefully, real life doesn't get in the way. If you would like, my son has started a team for this next year of the tram. It is called, "Kings of the Hill". His motto is pass them on the up hill and let them pass on the down hill.
This is what happened last year on the ride. Again, he is seven and on a 20 inch bike.

He has promise! Check out teh Twin City Bike Club (TCBC) they have rides virtually daily and participates in the MS rides, the Ironman , etc

Have you ever riden in the Lakeville Ironman? I just received information on it yesterday in the mail and wanted some first hand knowledge about the ride.

Please enlighten me.

I ride the 100 or 60 just about every year. Its a well run and supported ride. 4-5 thousand riders. If the weather nice it takes a bit less Iron If the weather is a bit iffy it can be a very challenging ride!

I rode the 30 last year for the first time and the weather was great. I was told that has not been the case every year though. I will do the 60 this year. Be prepared to bring rain gear and gloves. This is Minnesota after all!
