Hi everyone, Im raleighmax otherwise known as Pete. I got myself back into cycling last year, im 41 years old and up until last year had never rode a bike since i was 14 years old, sad but true! I have just undergone Abdominal Hernia surgery so now need to strengthen the muscles up a bit hence owning a bike. I live in Great Britain in a little village near maidstone Kent, plenty of lovely little lanes to explore by peddle power. I have caught a bit of a Bicycle bug, my everyday bike is as my user name suggests a Raleigh Max "ogre" 18 speed Mountain bike, very sturdy steed and purchased for only £5.50 from Ebay a real bargain. I have a bit of a passion for older bikes and have added a 1968 Raleigh RSW16 and a rather near mint condition Tensor Elite fold up bike from the early 80's to my growing collection. I think ive still got my teenage pedal pushing legs but everything else has gone out of shape, myself and my lovely wife Karen have major plans to get some real cycling under our belts this year. Anyway im off to study this forum so i wish everybody many happy miles on their bikes
