Hello, forum.

Just got ahold of an old Peugeot. With the help of digging through old threads I identify it as a '72 AO-8. Hope I can get some advice on fixing it up. Currently, I ride a '78 Raleigh Grand Prix.

Well hello sir! I am merely the fledgling greeter! There are several venues here as to classic bikes, etc as well as riding preferences, age groups, rides, etc - oh and fun Foo.

I'm sure that other girl here with the GIANT pink star will answer as well (personally I'm please cause I beat her).

And Welcome again!

Hello Mr. Choflet! Tude has done a great job whilst I've been napping .

We'd love to see some photos of the Peugeot and the Raleigh both. If you've gone through old threads, you know that we have a thriving and helpful Classic & Vintage forum .

Welcome to BF!

East Hill

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! I'll post photos when I figure out how, though I got too eager and started to disassemble the Peugeot without taking "before" pics. By the way, further digging revealed a '72 UO-8, not AO-8 (the half chrome fork was the giveaway). She's in rough shape, but she'll purty up nice.

Oh, upgraded model!

Do check out some of the oxalic acid threads in Classic & Vintage if you've got any rust on the bike. We have a lot of fun in C & V .
