Hello all you crazy bikers

Hi--My name is Wrey. I own a 89 Joe Murray Designed Merlin with old school Suntour XC Pro components. I reall sweet bike that always gets compliments. My wife owns a mid 90's Cannondale with oldschool Shimano XT components. My project bikes are a 1959 Schwinn Speedster single speed that my mother-in-law bought for her paper route as a kid. I also have a 1973-1975 Peugeot racer that I am either going to restore, or turn into a commuter/cyclocross bike. Thats me.

Just because I get up at 3:00 am to ride and make recovery rides of 25 miles and just bought my second bike in five months and spend all my spare time looking at bike porn on the internet doesn't make me crazy. Now, those guys that ride in the rain, they're really nuts. (Just kidding)

Welcome to the normal world.

Greetings!

I'm new to the group also. Riding a '99 Saeco Cannondale with ultegra parts and carbon slice fork.

Love the Saeco so much I'm building a 2nd one this winter with Dura Ace stuff. The new Saeco will have a brooks swift ti saddle, Thomson set-back seat post, solido bars, and be dry weather ride only.

In my spare time I annoy my wife by trash picking: 1 old raleigh 5 speed in great condition. Classic english upright rider. 2 and old West German woman's 10 speed also upright bars with a simplex derailleur.

In the stable are 2 MTB bikes a Schwinn and Diamond back. The DB will soon be the baby seat carrier.

I ride the hills around my northern NJ home. 12 miles West of NYC. Look forward to being a positive and thought provoking member of this group.

After 10 years in high tech, I now teach elementary school students.
