Thats a reasonable commuter bike that wont attract thieves. It doent have the unnecessary weight of a suspension fork, the tires are fat enough to absorb the ptoholes. Go to a real bike shop to find out what size bike you need, because fit is most important for riding comfort and the Canadian tire bikes dont come in a variety of sizes. Department store bikes are often assembled by people who know nothing about bikes so the brakes, gearshift and levers may be out of whack. Go to the Sheldon Brown or Park Tool website to find how to do it. I lived 15 years near Finch and Islington, Commuting by bike to Downsview. Good luck.

Hi petes, Andrew's given you some good advice. Fit is really important on bikes, and when you get the bike, check to make sure that everything is stuck on the bike properly. Checking Sheldon Brown or the Park Tool websites will help you make certain the bike is fit to ride.

Welcome to BF!
