Howdy from Pennsylvania!
Hi bicyclists!
I just built a Robinson long-wheelbase recumbent out of 2 by 4's and recycled mountain bike parts, and a set of road-bicycle gears. I have ridden recumbent bicycles before, but this is the first one that I owned. It is very, very comfortable. I look forward to putting miles on it soon. So far, I have ridden it for six or seven hours. As soon as I get the gear-shifting problem ironed out, I'll hit the roads with it. The terrain here in central PA is quite hilly, so I need at least ten gears that shift instantly. C-ya, Allan |
Hello Allan, I just got to try out my first recumbent a week ago. I got to try a recumbent trike, a recumbent tandem, and one other one which I can't remember.
They are certainly different from a diamond frame bike :) . Check out the regional forums and say hi to the neighbours. Welcome to BF! East Hill http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...a/pinkstar.jpg |
Waving at ya' from the Southwestern corner of the Commonwealth. Welcome to the forums, and may you find all the answers you seek, and share the wisdom as well. I think you'll find most of us are a pretty friendly bunch.
