How Do from the land of wind.
Hey all. I'm up in the Mojave high desert in southern California. Been riding for a little less than a year and only recently got the bug that tricks my brain into thinking I have a pack of wolves behind me at all times. Been traing for my first century in a little more than a month here. Heartbreak Hundred if anyone's familiar. I'm shooting for less than 8 hours but I've been told thats actually not going to be too difficult. Anyway, I'm a cyclocommuter and havn't got the kind of cash needed to be a true "roadie". I ride a cheap bike and second hand parts. I'm proud of the fact too.

Hi Labdude661, there are quite a few people who know all about the HH--check in with the SoCal forum and see who else is going.
Cheap bike and second hand parts still get you where you need to go, and save you money. Just make sure you keep up the maintenance on the bike!
