Want to say Hi from New Hampshire

Hi everyone, I'm somewhat new to biking, but not really. I rode my bike daily when I was a kid (I'm 28 now) in the summer, there was nothing else to do! I started spinning last April to get in shape and rediscovered my love for biking. Two weeks ago I bought a new Surly Cross Check and I plan on commuting with it. I also rescued a beautiful Univegal Nuovo Sport from the dump this past Saturday, so I went from owning a cheapie Trek mountain bike, to two nice steel frames in the space of a couple weeks!

Besides biking, I love to read and I play the fiddle (mostly old-time music). At the moment I'm working on a Masters degree in Library science, so most of my hobbies have taken a back seat to school work. Biking keeps me sane, though.

Hi Farkleberrie, I saw the Univega in the C & V forum . The Cross Check makes a great commuter, I just saw one of the local member's ride and it looked pretty posh. He rode it in a century this past weekend, too!

Oh, and there are several librarians here at BF. Start a thread in Foo (that's down by the bottom of the index page), and they should come out of hiding.

Welcome to BF!
