Hi I'm Ven from Maryland. I've been riding MTB for about 8yrs and got into road biking 2 years ago (got tired of hosing down the bike after every ride!) I also ride motorcycles, but I seem to look forward to pedaling my road bikes more these days.

Thanks for the welcome. I have a Schwinn Mesa, LeMond Nevada City, and a Felt F75. I also have a Kawasaki Zx6, my Suzuki sv650 was totaled after a kid in a pickup truck Tboned me at an intersection.

Is the Nevada City your beater bike? I've heard that the Felt is a nice bike...

Too bad about the Suzuki...bums!

Yeah, the NC is my beater. The F75 is pretty good, a little faster than the NC. It's also got a compact double, which I like. The NC has a triple and feels like a better climber. But, I haven't been road cycling very long, so don't have experience with other bikes.

I have only one bike with a triple, because all of my other bikes are vintage 10- or 12-speeds. It's always a shock to ride the Rodriguez because I forget how easy it is to get up hills with a triple .
