Hello!

Hello Everyone,

I suppose this is the right place for introductions! I'm a 22 year old college graduate who is about to start his teaching career next fall in Brooklyn as a music teacher (my school - Excellence Charter School of Bedford-Stuyvesant).

As for my bikes, I just sold an '04 Lemond Reno that I loved. It was my first road bike, and it served me well. I also currently own an '08 Scott Aspect 20, which I am thinking of selling as well. I just bought an '08 Langster and ride it mostly stock, save upgrading the saddle (Salle Italia Flite) and seatpost (FSA carbon). Further mod suggestions would be appreciated, unless your idea of a mod is to sell the bike. From trolling these forums the past few days, it seems that there's a bit of Langster hatred out there. Oh well.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about bikes here!

Welcome to the forum, good to have you here! As for seeing any hatred, I just consider the source and move on. Too many nice people here to worry about the occasional pessimist. Hey, we're all on 2 wheels...even if it's a beach cruiser with a basket on the handlebars, we're doing our part to save the environment and improve our quality of life. Yay for us!!! :D

Hello brycerton, pay no attention to the naysayers and snarkers, they exist no matter where one goes. We are pleased to have cyclists here, no matter what they ride.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with the Langster, and if it suits you and your budget--that's the important thing.

What music do you teach? Singing, playing, composition, appreciation?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

I teach general music to kindergarten and 1st grade, although my degree from Eastman was in instrumental music education, which usually starts in the 3rd/4th grade.

I play french horn, primarily, but I can get around on/teach other instruments as well.

Thanks for the responses y'all.

French horn, one of my favourite instruments! Beautiful mellow sound...
